A report by the American Foundation Nefa on the Muslim Brotherhood found that Al Aqsa Foundation president, Mohamed El Hajjaji and other members of the organisation in Verviers and Brussels Belgium are not only Muslim Brotherhood members but also supporters of the Hamas terrorist infrastructure in Palestine.
El Hajjaji responded to these accusations by explaining that Al-Aqsa Belgium "derives its legitimacy from its neutrality."
However, in July 2002 the German authorities shut down the "charity's" offices in the country and "in 2003, the Dutch blocked Al Aqsa Foundation assets in the Netherlands after discovering that Al Aqsa funded terrorism in the Middle East."
In addition, a previous head of Al Aqsa in the Netherlands, Amin Abu Rashed, was described by a financial crimes expert as, “the principal representative of Hamas in Holland.”
The al-Aqsa Foundation has been defined a terrorist organization by the United Nations, the European Union, Australia, Canada, the UAE, the United Kingdom and the United States. The US has called the organisation a "critical part of Hamas' transnational terrorist support infrastructure" adding that it "uses humanitarian relief as cover to provide support to the Hamas terrorist organization."
Al Aqsa, which is now called Aksahum, operates out of its new locales, including in Verviers and Brussels, Belgium. The organisation continues to collect and allocate money for "charity-related" causes in the Gaza Strip, West Bank and Jerusalem, more accurately, between 500,000-650,000 Euros annually.
But are children of suicide bombers considered charity cases? And doesn't this yearly stipend promote heinous crimes of this sort?
In the past the Nefa Foundation revealed the findings of a 2002 report by the Intelligence Committee of the Belgian Parliament explained how the Brotherhood operates in Belgium:
“The State Security Service has been following the activities of the International Muslim Brotherhood in Belgium since 1982. The International Muslim Brotherhood has had a clandestine structure for nearly 20 years. The identity of the members is secret; they operate in the greatest discretion. They seek to spread their ideology within the Islamic community of Belgium and they aim in particular at the young people of the second and third generation of immigrants. In Belgium as in other European countries, they try to take control of the religious, social, and sports associations and establish themselves as privileged interlocutors of the national authorities in order to manage Islamic affairs. The Muslim Brotherhood assumes that the national authorities will be pressed more and Thmore to select Muslim leaders for such management and, in this context, they try to insert within the representative bodies, individuals influenced by their ideology.
This is exactly the reason that El Hajjaji gave when asked why the organisation chose Verviers, Belgium.
"Verviers is home to the largest mosque recognized in the country, with 1,500 followers. More than in all the churches! Verviers also has an Islamic cultural center, youth projects, etc."
The Netherlands and Germany have woken up and taken action against Aksahum, when will Belgium understand that until it takes action against this organisation, they too, are aiding and abetting worldwide terrorism.
